Questions about our products

Where can I buy CircusWerkstatt model kits?

We sell our products exclusively through our online shop here at www.CircusWerkstatt.de. We also accept orders by post using an order form, which can be requested using our contact form.

When do launch new products?

Depending on our development, new products appear several times over the course of the year. However, there is no exact date for this. We continuously develop new products and then present them here in our online shop and via our newsletter.

What scale are the kits?

All of our model kits and accessories are in scale 1/87 (H0).

Do the kits match my H0 railroad models?

Yes, absolutely. Whether on a railway wagon, with a tractor or just like that on the H0 layout, our detailed 1/87 scale kits are a real eye-catcher.

What material are the kits made of?

Most of our kits consist of brass and nickel silver components, supplemented by plastic parts, such as wheel sets or roofs. By using these materials, an incredible number of details can be implemented in a scale of 1/87, which characterize our high-quality kits.


Questions about assembling of our kits

Come the kits assembled, painted and labeled?

All of our products are delivered as unpainted kits. Illustrated assembly instructions are included with every kit a step-by-step assembly. You can also find further information on assembly in our information section “Assembly"

What tools do I need to assemble the kits?

You need a sharp scalpel (or a very good craft knife), flat and pointed tweezers, scissors / side cutters, superglue and a stable surface to assemble our kits. IN addition colors are also required to paint the kits.

Can the kits be assembled in a similar way to plastic kits?

Yes. The assembly of our kits is actually very similar to that of plastic kits. The biggest difference is probably the separation of the individual components from a metal frame, but also very similar to plastic kits, which have to be separated from the frame of the injection-molded part. Afterwards, the assembly and painting is almost identical to the assembly of plastic kits.

Do I need experience to assemble the kits?

All of our kits are aimed at adult model builders. Experience in model building is an advantage but not essential for all of our kits. In order to provide an orientation for the assembly, all of our kits are split into 3 levels of difficulty: beginner, advanced, professional. The respective difficulty level can be found in the product description here in the shop.

Which glue should I use for the assembly?

We recommend gluing our model kits with superglue (e.g. UHU Mini Blitzschnell). This glue should be suitable for both metals and plastics.

Which colors are suitable for painting?

Depending on the type of painting with airbrush, spray can or brush, the common model building paints and varnishes are suitable for painting the assembled kits, e.g. Paints from Revell or Humbrol or DupliColor paint spray cans. Are there any color recommendations for the painting?

In most our kits you will find RAL color coding  recommendations in the assembly instructions.

Is it possible to buy assembled and painted models?

No. Our offer is limited to model kits and accessories.


Questions about shipping and payment options

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, Australia and the USA. Shipping to other countries can be arranged on request using our contact form.

How much are the shipping costs?

The shipping costs differ depending on the country of delivery. For shipments to Germany we charge a flat shipping fee of € 6.99, for shipments to countries in the European Union € 16.49 and for shipments to Switzerland and other countries outside the European Union € 19.99.

When will orders be shipped?

All of our orders are dispatched within 3-5 days of receipt of payment. In exceptional cases, the delivery can take a few days longer.

Which parcel service is used to send orders?

Our orders are sent nationally and internationally with DHL.

Do I get a tracking number?

Yes. All shipments can be tracked with a tracking number, which is added to the customer account of the respective order after shipping. 

What payment options are there?

In our online shop we offer the option to pay in advance. Payment is also possible via the payment service provider PayPal.
